What is a Community Land Trust


		What is a Community Land Trust? Simply put, it is a non-profit organization that sells homes to first-time homebuyers while retaining ownership of the underlying land. The Community Land Trust gives homebuyers the unique chance to purchase a home well under current prices by removing the high cost of land. The homebuyer leases the underlying land and with assistance from Northwood Renaissance obtains an affordable mortgage and down payment assistance further offsetting the price of the home.
